The East London Industrial Development Zone SOC Ltd is the operator of the East London Industrial Development Zone (ELIDZ), an entity which exists to help manufacturers to become globally competitive through the development and efficient management of a modern, purpose built industrial location, which offers investing industries a streamlined business environment enhanced by a range of supporting services. The zone is already operational and currently houses a number of manufacturers that supply products for the local and international markets.

African Scholars Fund Bursary South Africa 2018 – 2019

ABOUT THE COMPANY – AFRICAN SCHOLARS’ FUND

The African Scholars’ Fund opened its door when it saw a great need for quality education during the apartheid years. Today, they help by financially assisting learners from poor families with their secondary school and TVET college education fees.

The fund aims to contribute by way of monetary donations towards students school fees, uniform and transport costs. The ASF does not stop at providing financial support, they also mentor, motivate and nurture their recipients until their studies are complete. They are entirely focused on students wellbeing by monitoring and providing feedback on their academic progress – keeping in regular contact with bursars.

ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED & COVERAGE VALUE

Bursary awards will be granted to students within ALL fields of study, who pursue their studies at a FET College, N1 – N6 qualification and certain practical courses.

The bursary award will cover the cost of registration fees and course fees only.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • South African citizen
  • 25 years of age or younger
  • Completed Grade 10 Science and Mathematics (minimum)

SAMRO Bursary South Africa 2018 – 2019

ABOUT THE COMPANY – SAMRO

The Southern African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO) was founded in 1961 with the aim of protecting the intellectual property of musicians. They are an independently registered not-for-profit company who represents over 12 000 musicians in Southern Africa. They also manage the music education programmes and Corporate Social Investment (CSI) of the SAMRO Group.

The SAMRO Foundation are involved in sponsorship and outreach programmes within the Arts field. They offers some of the biggest bursary and scholarship awards for music students in the country, with over R1-million awarded to music students in bursaries within 2017.

In the last 50 years, they have invested in excess of R100-million in the form of scholarships, bursaries and commissions, in order to support the cultural landscape, music heritage and various industry enrichment projects of our country.

ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED & COVERAGE VALUE

Bursaries will be awarded to students currently studying towards a diploma or degree qualification (from their second year of study), majoring in Music.

Bursaries will be awarded to the value of R11 000 per applicant, for the payment of tuition fees only.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

The South African Society of Crop Production (SASCP) was established in 1971 in Pretoria, South Africa by 5 founding members – DF Retief; SA Hulme; E Strydom; PJ Möhr and PC Nel. ABOUT THE COMPANY – TCTA

Trans-Caledon Tunnel Authority (OR “TCTA” for short), situated in Centurion, is a state-owned entity for bulk water supply development. The company’s goal is to be a market leader for the supply of sustainable water and to facilitate water security (by the means of planning, financing and implementing the process of raw water infrastructure) in their region.

The company was first established in order to become a purpose vehicle to carry out the Lesotho Highlands Water Project. MORE ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – COVERAGE, OTHER OPPORTUNITIES, RENEWABILITY & SELECTION PROCESS

The following expenses will be covered by the bursary: University registration fees, full tuition fees, prescribed books, accommodation, stationary, meals (in residence) and a monthly allowance for living expenses.

Once students have finished their studies, TCTA will aim to place students in a 2 year internship or learnership programme, within the TCTA community. Placement is dependent on opportunity availability in the company.
TCTA bursaries are awarded for one year at a time and are renewable dependent on students academic performance.

Once your application has been received, it will be screened to ensure that you meet the criteria and that all information required is present.
Shortlisted candidates will then be contacted by TCTA and invited to an interview.
If you have not received any feedback within 30 days of the application deadline, you can regard your application as unsuccessful.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • NOT have any current bursary or sponsorship awards

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your completed application form (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application be disregarded):

  • South African ID document (certified copy of)
  • Matric National Senior Certificate (certified copy of)
  • Latest University academic results, if currently studying at tertiary level (certified copy of)
  • Letter of admission/ acceptance from your University
  • Motivational letter in support of your bursary application (why you should be selected to receive a bursary)
  • Breakdown of study fees from your University including tuition, books and accommodation in residence fees (account statement/ quote/ invoice)
  • Parents or guardians ID documents (certified copies of)
  • Parents or guardians proof of income (latest payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployed, death certificate if deceased, proof of grant if receiving a grant etc)

Tiber Construction Bursary South Africa 2018 – 2019

ABOUT THE COMPANY – TIBER CONSTRUCTION

The Tiber Construction group was founded by Paolo Rivera in 1951, and has since become a respected leader in the construction and private property sector. The management owned private company prides itself of their hands-on approach to fulfiling client needs with top notch property solutions.

With their vast range of experience within the construction and property industry, the group are able to offer the following solutions: Full Turnkey Solutions; Property Development and Management; Traditional Building Contracts for Clients and Client Partnering.

Since the start of the Tiber Construction Bursary programme, the company has assisted 24 students with obtaining their qualification with the industry, and these students are now full-time employees of the group. This is a true reflection of their commitment to assisting the industries youth.

ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED

Bursaries will be awarded for studies within the following fields/ areas (no other fields of study will be considered):

  • Civil Engineering
  • Structural Engineering
  • Building Sciences
  • Construction

 

MORE ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – COVERAGE, SELECTION PROCESS & SERVICE CONTRACT

Tiber Construction bursaries will provide coverage for the following expenses: tuition fees, examination fees, prescribed books, residence and a monthly stipend.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted an invited to attend an interview. If you do not hear back from Tiber Construction, please regard your application as unsuccessful.

Once students have graduated, they will be required to join Tiber Construction. Practical work will be offered to students based on the companies current opportunities.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • South African citizen
  • In possession of a valid South African ID Document
  • Completed Matric
  • In possession of a National Senior Certificate
  • Studying full time towards a qualification in one of the aforementioned construction-related fields of study
  • Successfully completed your first or second year of study
  • Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% for your current studies

Henkel: Graduate / Internship Programme 2018

GDP gives you an immersive, hands-on experience and in-depth understanding and knowledge of your chosen area – working on live projects and getting on and off-the-job training. In the course of the program the successful candidates will get to know the different processes within the business units and support the team in tasks and special projects.

  • Sales Intern (Degree in Chemical Engineering / Analytical Chemistry)
  • Marketing Intern (Degree in Marketing)
  • PDTCS Intern (Degree in Chemical Engineering / Analytical Chemistry)
  • Assistant Controller (Degree in Cost & management Accounting)
  • Finance Intern (Finance management)
  • 0-2 years work experience within related fields, preferably in an FMCG.
  • Being mobile and willing to travel across the region.
  • Fluent English skills, written and spoken.
  • Having an entrepreneurial mindset and showing leadership potential.
  • Having high level of commitment and initiative.
  • Having a positive team spirit and good social skills.
  • Previous practical or international experience- through either studies abroad or internships- can be an advantage.

TCTA: Bursary / Scholarship Programme 2018

Closing Date: 11 March 2018

TCTA is offering ten (10) bursary opportunities o academically deserving youth from previously disadvantaged backgrounds. Applicants should be studying or planning to do undergraduate studies at institutions of higher learning in South Africa.

The following fields of study are considered for funding:

Finance / Accounting / Commercial or any related numerate degree (x4)
BSc or BEng in Civil / Electrical (Controls & Instrumentation) / Mechanical / Chemical (x4)
BSc in Environmental Science / Environmental Management, Environmental Law (x1)
LLB (x1)
The bursary scheme covers the full payment of registration, accommodation, meals, prescribed books and a monthly stipend.
